The Mood:
Crisp, mineral, and quietly refined. Phénomène Melon du Bourgogne is a study in balance—bright citrus, gentle salinity, and the calm precision of Loire Valley craftsmanship.
The Story:
Produced by Mathilde and Stéphane, 8th-generation winemakers at Domaine de la Grenaudière, this wine honours centuries of Muscadet tradition while stepping confidently into a new era. Crafted from 100% Melon de Bourgogne grapes grown between the Sèvre and Maine rivers, it’s aged on lees for six months before the alcohol is carefully removed by vacuum distillation—preserving the varietal’s true character without the addition of artificial aromas. The result: a pure, low-sugar expression that reflects both terroir and innovation.
The Taste:
Zesty citrus and honeydew melon carried by crisp acidity, high minerality, and a refreshing saline finish. Dry, elegant, and exceptionally clean.
The Ritual:
Serve well chilled in a white wine glass. Perfect with oysters, seafood, pomme frites, or soft cheeses. A natural fit for any table that values restraint and refinement.
Fizz Notes:
Low Sugar (1.4g/100mL). Vegan. Gluten-Free. Aged on lees for six months. 48 calories per bottle. Crafted by 8th-generation winemakers in the heart of Muscadet.
